The blade of aero-engine is mostly made of titanium alloy, which has good strength and mechanical properties but poor machining properties. However, the precision and surface quality of blade profile after die forging and precision milling need to be machined to meet the requirements of aero-engine.
The die forging blade was detected by the best fitting method of the three-coordinate measuring instrument, and the machining allowance of the blade profile was determined. Then the material of the die forging blade was quantitatively removed by the self-adaptive abrasive belt grinding method. The results show that grinding can accurately remove the machining allowance of die forging blade surface, ensure the arc transition of blade inlet and outlet edge, and the Ra value of blade surface roughness is less than 0.4 m.
